|George Zimmerman on the night in question.|
The shooting of Trayvon Martin has made national headlines for months and the trial of George Zimmerman has had some very curious twists.
State witnesses have perjured themselves , the State Attorney Angela Corey allegedly hid exculpatory evidence that should have precluded any charges against Zimmerman, let alone a trial and a "Citizens Grand Jury" has indicted the Special Prosecutor.
One of latest incidents comes from the bench. Judge Debra Nelson asking George Zimmerman if he planned on testifying. Not just once but multiple times, I cannot recall ever seeing anything quite like that before. Naturally his lawyers objected to the repeated questioning.
Kathy Belich was as flummoxed as the defense: “I have never seen that in more than 30 years of court reporting.”
It is truly a tragic situation unfolding in Florida. A life was lost and another life is being ruined for what appears to be political motivations.
As a verdict draws near we can only hope and pray justice prevails in this case.
